VISIT DISNEYWORLD
For my 60th Birthday, and for our respective Christmas's, Genna and Chad and his dad, arranged a
wonderful holiday in Florida for me, my mom and dad, Chad's mom, dad, sister and brother, Genna,
Chad and, of course, GRACIE MAE.   We were there for four days just before the Christmas holiday.
It was a wonderful, wonderful time.
We stayed in a villa like this one in the Hampton Lakes development, just south of Disney World.
It really only took us about 18 minutes to get from the park to our front door.
It had a lovely  pool and spa area, but at 50 degrees for our WHOLE STAY it was just too darned cold to use it.  We had tons
of room - 6 bedrooms, this huge lounge/kitchen and a rec room.  It was right across the street from this play area, and of
course Gracie loved the slide.  Enough to make her forget about the GREAT playhouse she had to leave behind in the Detroit
airport.
On our first day out we had lunch by the lake
near the Boardwalk hotel, then we cruised
around on its grounds and inside.  All the
hotels were dressed up in their "holiday
finest" for the season.   After seeing them
featured on the Discovery Channel, it was fun
to see all the actual trees and decorations.
Then we went to the Fort Wilderness Lodge,
where we saw an assortment of bears, the
big logs and Old Faithful erupting.  It was a
very fun start to our vacation.
